Deployable Mushroom Growing House as Complementary Technology to Enhance Livelihood and Food Security

The project is aimed at producing an automated mushroom growing house that will generate a monthly income of at least PhP 12,000.00. This will also support food and nutrition security and poverty alleviation program of the country. It is made up of a 3.6 m x 8.4m container van-type, installed with automated sprinkler system, humidifier, artificial light and insulation. The DOST-CALABARZON envisions to expand the farmer's facilities by designing and fabricating a deployable mushroom house.

Project aims to establish two (2) deployable mushroom growing houses intended for commercial scale and household scale of production. It also aims to address critical factors besetting mushroom growers and agri-prenuers and other stakeholders on mushroom production and processing, as well as increase farm family income.
